The jury awards a Survey Citation of Merit for the North Carolina Modernist Houses project. North Carolina Modernist maintains www.ncmodernist.org, the largest open digital archive for modern houses in America. The site features over 4,100 houses, of which 1,200 are in North Carolina. With over 16,000 images and videos, the site also contains the largest open digital gallery of houses by modernist masters such as Wright, Neutra, Schindler, Lautner, Koenig, and others. The organization has filmed nearly 30 original video interviews with North Carolina architects, all available online, as well as special sections on pioneering minorities and women architects active before 1970. The site contains a vast and growing collection of archived publications, including 50 years of NC Architect magazine, and also maintains a statewide list of modern homes for sale.
