Site overview

Designed by Pietro Belluschi in collaboration with the George M. Ewing Company, the building is clad in brown Plexiglas brise soleils and features custom Plexiglas lobby chandeliers designed by Gyorgy Kepes. Its construction along the newly-cleared Independence Mall was celebrated as a victory for urban redevelopment efforts under Philadelphia’s seminal planning director Edmund Bacon.
